Celtic led through Mika Baur early in the second half, but Javi Rodriguez scored twice in quick succession to give Celta Vigo a 2-1 win on Europa League matchday three.
Speaking to CelticPlayer, manager Martin O’Neill said his side had been playing well before conceding from a set piece. He also felt Celtic lost momentum for a few minutes after the referee did not award a foul on Camilo, as O’Neill saw it.
O’Neill said Celtic had put in a strong effort during a demanding week and suggested a second goal might have changed the outcome, pointing to Liam Scales’ header that hit the bar.
